Intersection: Art and Fashion / L’Arte e La Moda

Saturday, August 22, noon to 4 pm

A collection of clothes designed, shibori-dyed, woven, and sewn by Dawn Bacon, Nasha Nargis, and Karim J. Models Liberty Yablon & Jess Castillo will be sashaying around the installation of sculptural forms, responding to the flow of shapes and colors, exploring how they (and we) inhabit and interact with the clothes, the space and each other. Both my studio and Dawn Bacon’s will be open during the event, and the models wills be meandering to and from both. Dawn’s studio is right across the street at 1600 Lena #B4. Join us!

My studio and installation room is open from 12 - 5 on Fridays and Saturdays through the summer, and by appointment. Please stop by. I’m at the Lena Street Studios, 1610 Lena Street E1.

Directions: Turn onto Lena Street from 2nd. Go up to the first stop sign, Living Threads will be straight ahead. Park in the parking lot on the left. The studio door is E1 on the left.
