Jump start your skills in these hands-on introductions to basket-weaving. In Workshop # 1, using reed, participants will experiment with simple traditional wicker basketry techniques. We will explore basic weave patterns and textures and ways of shaping a basket form. We will also cover simple techniques to finish a basket edge. No experience necessary. Materials included.

In Workshop #2, particiupants will learn one of the classic techniques of starting a round basket with reed, basic weave patterns, and simple techniques to finish a basket edge. No experience necessary. Materials included.
