WickerWorks Workshops & Classes

Spring and summer 2026

Using ancient techniques and natural materials, explore your tactile &  3 dimensional  senses in these fun workshops. Enjoy the challenges and rewards of learning a new craft in a pleasant and relaxed environment. Half day workshops and 6 week classes are available. 6 week classes are offered through Santa Fe Community College, but are held in my studio at the Lena Street Studios.

My approach to teaching these classes and workshops is derived from years of teaching sculpture and 3-Dimensional Design. My aim is to show you how to use the techniques to create your own shapes and structures: to start projects, to use basic weaves to construct a form, and to finish a basket project. Years of using basketry materials and techniques in my own artwork have convinced me that the beauty, utility, and depth of these traditions are available to anyone who is interested.
